About BEANS
- What is BEANS?
- BEANS is a framework for building community web aggregators. It grew out of
the GUFF project to provide a
community site for the students and alumni of the
University of Glasgow.
- About the author
- BEANS was written by Derek Murray (see his blog,
mrry), a fourth-year student in
the Department of Computing Science
at Glasgow.
- Technical details
- BEANS is coded entirely in PHP, with a MySQL database forming the backend.
MagpieRSS is used to retrieve
and parse the aggregated feeds.
FeedCreator is used
to generate the RSS 2.0 and Atom feeds.
- Can I download a copy of BEANS?
- You may download the latest version of BEANS from its
